This new program will equip researchers with the confidence, skills, and strategies to build impactful collaborations with industry. Developed in close partnership with leading universities, experts in the field and learning designers, the program will address a critical and growing need across the global research landscape: empowering researchers to navigate the complexities of cross-sector partnerships and deliver research with real-world impact. In doing so, the program enables universities to strengthen research impact, diversify funding streams, and align with evolving policy priorities.

Modular format that enables busy researchers to dip in and out according to their needs.
Multidisciplinary examples, case studies, inspiring stories and video interviews representing a range of researchers from diverse disciplines and at different career stages
Researchers will be encouraged to reflect on their own context, with some activities allowing them to tailor their learning to their disciplinary or national context
Delivers scaled-up and cost-effective training and development to researchers, which can be accessed at point of need or alongside workshop provision
Blended learning resources can be used to complement existing workshops or initiative

Professor S. Mark Spearing is Vice-President (Research and Enterprise) at the University of Southampton and a Professor of Engineering Materials whose research and educational interests focus on materials and micro-electromechanical systems. He has worked in industry and has worked with industrial partners throughout his research career. As Vice-President (Research and Enterprise), Mark has University-wide oversight of all research and enterprise activities. This includes research and enterprise strategy, working with industry partners, intellectual property and 'spin-out' companies.
