Sage Learning Resources
Trial troubleshooting and frequently asked questions
1. Trial Sign Up
How do I sign up for a 30-day individual trial?
To sign up for a 30-day trial, please fill out and submit our trial request form. Please note: Sage Campus online courses are only available for a 7-day individual trial.
- Sage Learning Resources product trials are intended for librarians, faculty, and researchers who are evaluating the products for use at their institutions.
- You must use a valid academic or institutional email address to sign up. General email addresses, such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail, will not be processed.
- If you are a student in need of resources, please visit your institution’s library and discuss your research needs with your librarian.
I can’t sign up for a trial because I don't have an academic or organizational email address.
Our Learning Resources products are designed to serve academic, public, and corporate libraries. At this time, we are unable to respond to requests from generic or personal email domains.
If you work with an academic, public, or corporate library and do not have an academic or institutional email address, please contact us and include the following information in your email:
- Name
- Role
- Company
- Purpose of the trial
- List of products you're interested in trialing
My trial request has been denied even though I have not tried the product in the past.
These messages are occasionally sent out in error. Your trial access is active, and the login details sent to you should still be valid. Please try to log in using the links and login details provided in the email. If you still experience difficulties logging in, please see the Trial Access Issues section below.
How do I request an institution-wide trial at my organization?
Only librarians, procurement managers, purchasing decision makers, or similar can sign off on setting up an institution-wide (IP) trial at an organization. If you are interested in setting up an IP trial at your institution for products in our Learning Resources suite or for Sage Journals, please complete our IP trial request form.
2. Trial Access Issues
I signed up for a trial, but my username and password are not working.
Below are some tips to help you login successfully:
- Enter your username and password into the “Administrators and Non-Institutional Users” login section. Do not use the ‘Profile’ login in the top right corner – this will not work for your trial account.
- Enter the username and password details exactly as they appear in the email. The username and password are both case-sensitive.
- If you copy and paste the details into the login boxes, check you have not accidentally included any additional spaces.
- If you are still having issues, try logging into the site from a personal computer not connected to your institution’s internet. If your institution has purchased other Sage products, using your institution’s internet for a trial can block the content.
When you have successfully logged in, you should see a ‘free trial’ label in the top right corner of your screen. (You do not need to click this button; it is used to help identify when you are logged into your trial.)
If you are still having issues logging in after trying the options outlined above, contact us.
I signed up for a trial, but I cannot find my username and password.
If you signed up for a trial previously and cannot find the email that contains your username and password, please reset your password.
I successfully logged in to my trial, but content is still locked.
You will only be able to access content that is hosted under the collection(s) or module(s) you signed up to trial. For example, if you signed up for a trial to the Sage Video Business & Management collection, you will only have access to Business videos, not Business book or reference titles.
If you would like to expand your trial content, feel free to return to the trial sign up form and register for additional product trials. Please remember that an individual can only trial each collection once in a 12-month period.
I signed up for a trial to Sage Business Cases and cannot access the Teaching Notes.
We understand how important locked teaching notes are to faculty, which is why we do not allow open access to teaching notes during the trial period. When the library acquires the collection, faculty will receive a code that unlocks all teaching notes on the platform.
Visit our Sage Business Cases Trial Resources page for sample cases, teaching notes, and more information.
I signed up for a trial of Sage Business Cases and cannot download the Cases.
We do not allow case PDF downloads during trials of Sage Business Cases. This functionality is activated once an institution has acquired the collection and become an active customer.
How do I extend my trial access period?
Individual product trials last for 30 days after set up (Sage Campus trial lasts for 7 days after set up). We understand that unforeseen circumstances may prevent you from accessing the content during this window. If you need to have your trial dates extended, please contact us and include the following information in your request:
We are not able to extend access dates for students at this time. If you are a student and need resources, please visit your institution’s library and discuss your research needs with your librarian.
How do I cancel my trial?
Trials last 30 days after being set up and expire automatically (the Sage Campus trial lasts 7 days after being set up). You do not need to take any action to end the trial.
Sage does not collect financial information from trial users or end-users. When the trial expires, you will not be tied into a subscription service.
3. Subscriptions/Purchases
How do I purchase an individual subscription to a product that I've tried?
Our Learning Resources products are only offered through subscriptions/purchases at the institutional level. Please fill in our recommendation form if you would like to recommend the product(s) you are interested in to a librarian at your institution.
How can I receive additional information and pricing?
If you are a librarian or procurement manager, please contact us and include the following information in your request:
- Name
- Role
- Company
- Product(s) you are interested in
- Let us know how we can help you!
Please email librarymktg@sagepub.com if you have a question that wasn't answered above.
