SAGE Pedagogy Task Force has a mission to consolidate expertise from across our Editorial and Product teams and apply these insights to develop high-quality learning resources based on sound educational principles, philosophies and evidence.

By Judi Burger, Senior Content Development Manager and Rachel Crookes, Head of SAGE Campus, to announce the launching of the SAGE Pedagogy Task Force.


At SAGE, we are constantly having conversations about pedagogy: How can we apply the art and science of education practice to provide outstanding teaching and learning experiences for students and instructors? We have a hunger to go deeper when it comes to understanding how SAGE products contribute to great learning in the classroom, what our pedagogy tangibly does for learners and faculty, and how our learning design can stay high quality, change for the better or adapt to meet needs. 

We launched the SAGE Pedagogy Task Force with a mission to consolidate expertise from across our Editorial and Product teams and apply these insights to develop high-quality learning resources based on sound educational principles, philosophies and evidence. 

Right now, we’re working on three goals: 

  • Share and showcase best practice 

We’re compiling an internal pedagogy ‘playbook’ to help us both document and create pedagogical features with skill. By sharing our expertise with each other, we hope to ‘do the basics’ even better while also inspiring each other to try new approaches that keep our resources relevant for learners and compelling for educators…
